I must confess that none of the answers really apply to me. There are some really good ones being made at the moment (LotR, Finding Neverland, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Master and Commander, etc) but there is some real crap.
The same can be said of most years in the history of film production. If you look at any year you will find a mixture of well loved classics, vastly overrrated films, undiscovered gems and best forgotten dross.

I tried to watch that on TV the other night but had to turn over after about 10 minutes. It brought up too many memories because I used to work at McDonalds
Well.... It seems to me that before all the crappy movies where made during the summer, since you had to make money off of those kids out of school. Nowadays, it seems like that all the time. Course, we keep getting new shipments of crappy teen stars who make it off of the little niave teenboppers who worship them. Good stuff still comes out, but less frequently or in one clump, then never again forever.
